Network & Security Engineer

£500 - £550pd – Outside IR35

Leatherhead - Hybrid Working – 1-day in the office per week.

I am working with a respected professional services company based near Leatherhead that is looking for a Network & Security Engineer to join on a contract basis.

The purpose of this role will be to design, sustain and help to secure the necessary availability and performance of network and security components needed for the business to function.

Network & Firewall Troubleshooting is key to this role.

Responsibilities:

• Firewall and Network monitoring and maintenance.
• Manage network and security solutions and make sure they are implemented correctly and improve availability and defence against incidents.
• Respond to and resolve any issues related to network connectivity.
• Sustain the necessary availability and performance throughput rate of network compo-nents by monitoring networking activity and maintaining existing networking and Firewall activity.
• Follow Change Procedures.
• Work with 3 rd party service providers in order to maintain business critical systems and ensure network services are highly available.

Key Experience:

• Extensive experience with Palo - Alto Firewalls and HP Networks (Comware Kit).
• Extensive experience managing large complex networks.
• Extensive experience deploying networks and security appliances in cloud environments.
• Experience with Load Balancers.
• Experience working with VPNs and resilient connectivity.
• Experience managing Internet traffic and DNS.
• Any network certifications and qualifications would be desirable
