BackTenancy Enforcement Officer:
The Role:
Fixed Term 12 Month Contract
The Housing Options Service is looking to recruit a Tenancy Enforcement Officer.
This is an exciting role where you would be responsible for the investigation of anti-social behaviour and allegations of fraud in Council Housing, in particular, temporary accommodation.
You would need to seek solutions and appropriate resolution of anti-social behaviour complaints in conjunction with other Council departments, Police, and other agencies.
Requirements:
- Understanding of the duties owed to customers threatened with homelessness/actual homelessness under relevant legislation.
- Ability to take incremental and progressive enforcement action.
- Ability to work alone in sometimes difficult environmental situations with clients who have challenging behaviour.
- Experience working in a similar role would be an advantage.
- Enthusiasm and strong motivation with a 'cando' attitude.
- Ability to immediately deliver, working to tight timescales.
- Ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and to develop appropriate promotional material.
- Advanced IT skills in relation to Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Visio or other project tools.
