Description
Reed Talent Solutions are currently working with a forward-thinking UK Central Government organisation to recruit a Finance Operations Lead on an initial 3-6 month contract. The post-holder will work as an integral integral part of a smallteam, helping to establish its procurement operating model and excellence in contracting and supplier relationships at an operational level.
Role Information
- Location: Kings Cross, London
- Hybrid working: 23 days per week in office
Key Responsibilities
- Transferring all existing contracts onto a new system
- With the Director of Procurement and Contracts, developing the tools and documents for new procurement processes
- Supporting new procurements in the businesses, working across the whole team to support with all administrative aspects of the procurement process, ensuring compliance with governance, legislative and policy requirements as appropriate
- Ensuring excellence in record keeping
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure payment expectations are met.
- Running reports on the procurement pipeline for the Executive.
Essential Criteria
- Understanding of the procurement environment, tools and processes
- Ability to build trusted relationship fast across the business.
- Keen attention to process and detail
- Excellence in knowledge management
- Hold relevant commercial qualifications such as IACCM/MCIPS
