- Designing electronic circuits and assemblies from concept to production release and maintenance.
- Debugging, simulation and validation of electronic and system designs.
- Test and report results to the development team.
- Reliability and regulatory testing of products.
- Creating technical documentation.
- Transferring design data sets to production for manufacturing and support during product lifecycle.
- Occasional UK and international travel
- Experience in microcontroller/mixed digital/analogue electronic circuit design.
- A good understanding of product design from specification through to delivery.
- Practical experience in Schematics Capture and PCB Design Tools.
- Good prototyping skills and soldering with SMT components.
- Excellent debugging skills and ability to integrate and validate electronic and system designs.
- Good communication skills and the ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
- Graduate calibre, able to work in a team environment and with minimum supervision.

A leading provider of innovative laser systems to help people in various global markets, including but not limited to renewables, microelectronics, research, life science, automotive and medicine.
We seek an Electronics Design Engineer to join us at our Scotland site.
Your goal will be to work as part of the product development team and be responsible for the electronics from design to production release and support of our cutting-edge laser systems.
Role Responsibilities:
Experience needed:
The successful candidate will be educated to a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject with demonstrable experience in board-level design and mixed-signal electronics. You will be exposed to full product design and have a good appreciation of the whole development cycle from concept to production.
Any relatable experience within the laser environment would be desirable but not essential/mandate.
