- Participating as a member of an integrated maintenance team.
- Using a wide range of mechanical/electrical services tools and machines.
- Reading mechanical/electrical services drawings and schematics.
- The ability to use fault finding procedures and equipment manufacturers manuals to trace and rectify faults.
- Operating and repairing steam boiler plant and associated steam services.
- Undertaking water treatment tests.
- Operating, inspecting and repairing hot water heating systems and hot and cold domestic water systems.
- Repairing/installing/ fault diagnosing electrical equipment and installations in line with current regulations.
- Operating, inspecting or repairing compressed air plant and installations, pumping and extract systems.
- Changing/adjusting belt drive systems to include the replacement of pulleys and bearings.
- Working on drainage systems
- Fault finding and repairing controls such as actuators and BMS
- Welding with either gas or electric.
- Installing copper, plastic or steel pipes, using any appropriate jointing technique.
- Calibration and commissioning of equipment to standard operating procedures.
