    Job Summary

    Looking for a pharmacist interested in specializing in gastroenterology while the current post holder is on maternity leave. You'll become the go-to specialist in managing conditions like inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal surgery, and liver disorders.

    Responsibilities include providing top-notch patient care, influencing medical colleagues, and contributing to policy development.

    Main Duties of the Job

    • Provide specialist pharmacist input during daily MDT board rounds
    • Offer expert advice on gastroenterology to colleagues
    • Deliver pharmaceutical care to patients
    • Support clinical supervision of other pharmacists
    • Act as a role model to pharmacy staff

    Qualifications

    Essential

    • Bachelor/Master of Pharmacy degree
    • GPhC Pharmacist Registration
    • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
    • Independent prescribing qualification
    • Relevant senior experience

    Desirable

    • Accredited Diploma Tutor
    • Quality Improvement Training
    • MSc in relevant subjects
    • Train the trainer qualification
    • Member of the RPS

    Experience

    Essential

    • Specialist practitioner practice
    • Collaborative working in multidisciplinary settings
    • Clinical supervision and training
    • Policy and service development experience
    • Project management

    Desirable

    • Risk Management
    • Research and audit experience
    • Line management experience
    • E&T experience

    Knowledge

    • Expert knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines
    • Understanding of medicines legislation
