This job involves the day to day running of a medical records team, booking patients for outpatient and inpatient clinics.

Health records library functions and maintaining waiting lists, along with all general administration duties.

The role requires an organised, motivated individual who works well within a team and as an individual.


The post holder will be involved in the running of reception duties, registering and documentation of new patients, maintaining waiting list and fully booking appointments, requesting case notes from the health records library.

Engaging with all members of staff and dealing with enquiries from patients, dental and medical practitioners and members of the public by telephone and in person.


Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.

  • Provision of statistical information for Managers as required.
  • Care and repair of case note folders.
  • Maintenance of accurate tracker system of case histories.
