    Avionics Technician / Electronics Technician

    AMETEK MRO Muirhead Avionics's facility, conveniently located near to London Heathrow Airport, is one of the largest independent repair facilities in Europe, offering an extensive range of services including sales, repair, overhaul, modification and flight data recorder transcription capability. The breadth of the services offered by AMETEK MRO Muirhead Avionics' OEM approved repair facilities allows the company to be a major supplier to many fixed and rotary wing operators world-wide. Our capability covers radio, radar, navigation, communication, flight data and cockpit voice recorders, instrumentation and test equipment.

    Scope of Role:

    To repair and overhaul a wide range of aircraft Communications, Navigation, Radar, Radio Audio units, Recorders and Instruments to component level. This role requires working with technologies ranging from analogue electronics to complex microprocessor electronics and RF circuits.


    Main Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Undertake precise mechanical work and electronics repair including through hole and surface mounted components.
    • Complete fault finding, repair and testing process using specialised and general-purpose test equipment
    • Undertake work in accordance with the manufacture's component maintenance manual and regulatory approvals and the company's quality system.
    • Complete accurate and legible repair records and ensure they are filed in a timely manner.
