Hourly rate of pay: £ £22.74

Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00
Working days are negotiable, starting and finishing times are flexible, and flexi time is applicable.
To start 24th June 2024.

An opportunity has arisen within the Housing Strategy Team and we are looking for a highly motivated individual who can help in the implementation of our Local Housing Strategy, including the review, monitoring and updating of key policies and procedures with a commitment to achieving best value and meeting wider cross service outcomes. This opportunity has come at such an exciting time with the new National Housing Strategy Housing 2040 and the recent Housing (Scotland) Bill 2024 being the key driver for change.

Home Working Consideration
Applications for homeworking or hybrid working will be considered for this post, subject to a trial period and in accordance with East Lothian Council's Home Working and Worksmart Policies which can be found here . Home or Hybrid working options can be discussed with candidates invited for interview. All applicants must live in the UK and will be expected to attend Council offices from time to time as required.

To contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of housing, regeneration and energy efficiency policies and strategies, in accordance with relevant legislation, the Council's Local Housing Strategy, housing policies and agreed standards and priorities, with a commitment to achieving best value and meeting cross service outcomes.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Degree Level Qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject, eg. Housing / Social Policy and/or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.

Evidence of a commitment to Continual Professional Development.
