    The role

    As a Principal Analytics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding the Analytics Engineering team, providing extensive technical leadership, and supporting the Head of Analytics Engineering.

    What you'll be doing...

    • You will lead cross-functional collaboration with global teams to translate analytical requirements into scalable, modular data products, enhancing our agility and intelligence and promoting a self-service ethos.
    • You will proactively monitor, optimise, and innovate data pipelines in dbt and Snowflake, balancing cost-efficiency with the business's data timeliness needs.
    • You will provide expert mentorship to Insight Analysts on complex analytics projects, securing access to clean and reliable data for thorough analysis and experimentation.
    • You will champion the creation, sustenance, and enhancement of documentation, testing, and best practices for dbt pipelines, fostering knowledge sharing and the sustainability of robust solutions.
    • You will emphasise data quality and governance in the design and maintenance of the organisational data model, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of data assets across the board.

    • Demonstrable capability in technical leadership within Analytics Engineering, with an extensive background using dbt and developing self-serve solutions.
    • The ability to articulate complex technical concepts with a proven track record in shaping requirements and achieving impactful outcomes.
    • A detail-oriented mindset and a reputation for maintaining high standards in your work.
