London, twice a week in London office

The role

As a Principal Analytics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in mentoring and guiding the Analytics Engineering team, providing extensive technical leadership, and supporting the Head of Analytics Engineering.

What you'll be doing...

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with global teams to translate analytical requirements into scalable, modular data products, enhancing our agility and intelligence and promoting a self-service ethos.
You will proactively monitor, optimise, and innovate data pipelines in dbt and Snowflake, balancing cost-efficiency with the business's data timeliness needs.
You will provide expert mentorship to Insight Analysts on complex analytics projects, securing access to clean and reliable data for thorough analysis and experimentation.
You will champion the creation, sustenance, and enhancement of documentation, testing, and best practices for dbt pipelines, fostering knowledge sharing and the sustainability of robust solutions.
You will emphasise data quality and governance in the design and maintenance of the organisational data model, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of data assets across the board.

Demonstrable capability in technical leadership within Analytics Engineering, with an extensive background using dbt and developing self-serve solutions.
The ability to articulate complex technical concepts with a proven track record in shaping requirements and achieving impactful outcomes.
A detail-oriented mindset and a reputation for maintaining high standards in your work.

Tech Stack: dbt, SQL, Snowflake, Airflow, AWS, Tableau.
