    Base Location:We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however, need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSEN offices or depots in the South of England or Scotland


    Salary:£49,559 - £56,757 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Quality Engineer to join our Quality team.

    This team holds responsibility for the delivery of commercial business objectives, whilst ensuring that all regulatory, statutory, and financial reporting for the Commercial & Connections business is delivered in all set targets.

    They are also responsible for quality, developing a culture of continuous improvement, driving quality standards and excellence throughout the department.

    This role is an exciting opportunity to learn about our business, and gain hands on experience with our vast portfolio of projects.



    Key responsibilities in this role will include:

    • As a Quality Engineer, you will identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the business. A background or qualification in Lean Six Sigma would be beneficial.
    • You'll identify any potential issues and risks, highlighting them to relevant parties and ensuring these are corrected within any set timescales.
    • In addition, you'll be required to conduct reviews on our Engineering Connections quotes and designs, ensuring they are of the highest quality and adhere to all relevant regulatory rules.
    • Ensure the quotations delivered by our team of Designers are accurate, compliant and meet all standards and regulatory requirements.

    What do I need?
    To be considered for this role we would love you to:


    • Be educated to a Degree Level in Engineering, or HNC with extensive industry knowledge or relevant industry experience in Quality or Business improvement projects.
    • You'll have a keen eye for detail, and will have a strong analytical background; if you have previous experience with ISO that would be advantageous.
    • Good communication skills, you'll be able to develop and nourish positive working relationships across your stakeholder group, including internal teams and external third parties.
    • You should also have good reporting experience, preferably within a similarly regulated business; any experience in the collation, creation, and provision of KPIs would also be great, however not essential.
    • IT skills to conduct formal presentations and conduct analysis of performance figures.
