    Job Title: Senior Contract Manager

    Location: Stafford, United Kingdom

    Reports To: Grid Solutions Regional Contract Management Leader

    Job Type: Full-time

    Summary:

    The Senior Contract Manager, reporting to the Grid Solutions Regional Contract Management Leader, is responsible for overseeing contractual activities in assigned projects. This role involves strategic planning, claim management, and ensuring contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

    Main Duties:

    • Analyze contracts and develop project contracts and commercial strategies.
    • Present analysis to the Project Team, issuing the Contract Questionnaire, Contract Commercial Plan, and other deliverables.
    • Develop and share the Claim and Variation Procedure, implementing contractual procedures.
    • Identify and manage contract obligations, implementing the Project contract commercial plan and claim strategy.
    • Proactively support risk and opportunity identification and analysis.
    • Manage Project contractual activities from Sales handover until resolution of all obligations.
    • Ensure timely issuance of notices and proactively manage claims with customers and partners.
    • Manage Project variation requests/orders and oversee Project insurance.
    • Provide support, guidance, and training to the Project team on contractual issues.
    • Assist in dispute resolution and report Project claims and variations to management.

    Experience and Knowledge:

    • Proven track record in claim preparation and negotiation, with an understanding of delay analysis principles.
    • Knowledge of contract law, project risk management, and technical understanding.
    • Experience in high-level negotiations and hands-on contract management in complex infrastructure projects.
    • Familiarity with NEC and FIDIC contract models is preferred.

    Skills and Background:

    • Exceptional communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to prioritize work, interface with stakeholders, and work effectively in a team.
    • Strong influencing skills and intercultural competence.
    • University degree in engineering, quantity surveying, business administration, or law
    • Accountability and a "say/do" mindset.
    • Perfect knowledge of written and spoken English.
