- Make and receive collection telephone calls.
- Gather and record information by asking appropriate questions.
- Negotiate commitments to resolve overdue accounts.
- Monitor arrangements and commitments to ensure timely resolution.
- Manage a diary system to take appropriate follow up action.
- Review pre-legal debts to assess suitability for legal action.
- Initiate county court legal actions for debt recovery and progress to judgment and enforcement
- Advise clients on prospects for successful recovery and assist with overcoming disputes and reasons for non-payment.
- Work with courts, enforcement agencies and other suppliers to ensure high standards of service are always maintained.
- Good IT skills-able to adapt and use new systems.
- Problem solving skills - able to look for solutions and agree these with customers.
- Confidence in making and receiving telephone calls.
- A willingness to learn.
- Clear communication capabilities-both written and verbal.
- The ability to work to targets-earning more based on success.
- Confidence to deal with a variety of people in different situations.

Our client specialises in the Financial Services Sector and are a market leader in their field.Due to a heavy workload our client is now looking to recruit a full-time permanent Telephone Advisor. To work Monday to Friday, our client's operating hours are between 9am-8pm.
