Bakkavor Group is a leading manufacturer in the fresh foods market, specialising in developing private label products for top global grocery retailers and well-known international food service operators.


In the UK, our customers include some of the UKs best known grocery retailers including Tesco, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Asda and Morrison's, who sell our products to consumers under their respective retail brands.


Job Purpose:

You will manage, develop, mentor, coach and provide guidance to the T&A Wages, Admin and Helpdesk teams ensuring they deliver an excellent and efficient operational HR service to all UK employees, Managers and Site HR Teams.

You will lead this Team to deliver a diverse range of operational HR tasks across the employee lifecycle in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that all stakeholders receive an excellent customer service.

You will ensure that the HR service complies with best practice and legal requirements and support the ethos of continuous improvement to enhance the advice, support and service delivered by the Team.


Must Have:


  • Ability to work autonomously with excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Work collaboratively building positive relationships across the wider HR and leadership teams.
  • Strong IT skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Be able to evidence the delivery of excellent customer service
  • Line Management experience of large teams
  • The ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, as well as a flexible team player who can support the wider People Hub team as and when required.
  • Strong knowledge of HR service delivery processes, policies, and best practices
  • Experience of successfully line managing a team, including the ability to coach and develop others.
  • A confident leader, who is both proactive and able to challenge
  • Analytical and results driven

Nice to Have:


  • Experience of working within a shared services environment
  • Success Factors/SAP experience,
  • Generalist HR background
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or CIPP
  • Customer Service Qualification Level 3
