    Laboratory Technician – Higher Brocks Plantation, Teigngrace, Newton Abbot, Devon, TQ12 6QZ

    Salary: £22,482.60 per annum

    Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, working Monday to Friday 7:30am – 3:30pm

    An exciting opportunity, as a Laboratory Technician, has arisen at our site in Newton Abbot, where your main responsibility will be to carry out testing on samples produced from the shredding and blending process. You will need to perform day to day testing, collate and analyse data and produce reports on routine quality performance and liaise with the site team to communicate quality results.

    The role will involve physical and manual work; at times you will be required to smash large pieces of clay.

    What we are looking for:

    We are looking for someone who has a real interest in Laboratory work and is looking for that initial step in their career. Previous experience within a Laboratory Testing environment would be ideal but not essential as training will be provided.

    However, the right candidate will need to have good literacy, numeracy and I.T skills, along with a GCSEs, grade A-C in Maths and Science.

    In addition, you'll:
    • Be self-sufficient and self-motivated with the capability to plan and take personal responsibility for undertaking a range of designated tasks without direct supervision.
    • Have good communication skills and are a team player.
    • Full UK driving licence is essential as you will be required to operate the on-site vehicles
