    Main purpose of the role

    :

    We are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager to join our team.

    You will line manage a team of dedicated staff, providing support through structured supervisions. You will play a major part in creating a safe, psychologically informed environment for residents who have experienced homelessness to thrive in, where people are able to build their confidence and pursue new opportunities.

    You will support our focus to deliver person centred, collaborative support for young adults accessing our accommodation-based services.

    Core responsibilities of the role will be:

  • A proven track record in the nurture and development of a staff team.
  • Support Planning: Contribute to the creation, review, and implementation of support plans and risk assessments for the young adults in our accommodation.
  • Relationship Building: Form effective relationships with the residents, their families/care givers (where appropriate), and external agencies.
  • Home Maintenance: Ensure the accommodation is clean, tidy, and welcoming, encouraging young adults to participate in upkeep as appropriate.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain high-quality records as required, provide supervision and oversight to staff to ensure high quality recording and reporting.
  • Professionalism: Uphold and manage the team to deliver high levels of professionalism as expected by Local Solutions and Ofsted.
  • Development Support: Contribute to the educational and social development of each young adult, assisting in the implementation of Individual support plans.
  • Emotional and Physical Support: Meet the emotional and physical needs of the young adults living in our accommodation, maximising opportunities for their development.
  • Leadership: Provide support to the operational manager of the accommodation while on shift, performing all management duties as directed.
  • Success Measures:

  • Deliver a high-quality frontline service.
  • Deliver and provide effective support for all members of staff.
  • Remain up-to-date and compliant with all relevant legislation connected to your work (policies, procedures, and professional codes of conduct)
  • Contribute to annual service reviews.
  • Maintain effective monitoring and evaluation systems and databases.
  • Develop and maintain links with other agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements including GDPR, data protection, confidentiality, child protection and adult safeguarding.
  • General Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant experience and/or qualifications in areas around Young People and Accommodation.
  • Experience and knowledge of providing support to people with multiple and complex needs.
  • Experience of developing and facilitating group based sessions.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of using IT.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Resilient and robust with a positive outlook.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Commitment to quality, customer service, best practice and best value in all aspects of the organisations operation.
  • Flexible working patterns covering a Rota that includes weekends with the possibility on occasion to work evenings to cover for sickness or annual leave.
