JOB TITLE:
BOOK-KEEPER/ACCOUNTANT

SALARY:
£30,000 - £36,000 depending on experience + free parking


HOURS OF WORK:
Mon - Fri 8am - 4.00pm - 1 hour for breaks OR

Mon - Fri 9am - 5.00pm - 1 hour for breaks

Part-time hours considered


COMPUTER PACKAGES REQUIRED
Sage, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook


JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Input data on Sage line 50 to facilitate monthly management accounts
  • Prepare monthly management accounts
  • Responsible for business plan comparisons
  • Dealing with accruals and prepayments
  • Purchase invoices and input details onto the system
  • Purchase invoice payments
  • Matching Goods Received Notes with orders
  • Operating Sage line 50
  • Liaising with suppliers as and when required
  • Partaking in ad hoc account and admin duties required by senior management
  • Responsible for raising sales invoices and arranging credit for clients
  • Opening new accounts
  • Order book
  • Bank reconciliation and VAT returns
  • Monthly payroll handling Bacs Payment
  • Posting credit card transactions into sage
  • Handling various currencies sterling, dollar and euro's
  • Preparing reports regularly
  • Dealing with any general accounts queries
  • General administration filing, faxing, handling couriers, ordering office stationery, and carry out any other tasks required by senior management

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Must have at least two years of relevant experience
  • Selfmotivated and can work unsupervised
  • Enthusiasm coupled with drive and determination
  • Computer literate
  • Numerate
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be a team player
  • Have the ability to work to tight deadlines
