- Monitoring day to day operations of a continually functioning recycling plant and reporting/monitoring concerns.
- Point of contact and support for five shift teams, escalating as required to Line Manager and/or HR Team.
- Ensuring sufficient consumables are available and responsible for replenishments.
- Ensuring chemical deliveries are scheduled in line with production schedules.
- Ensuring safe working methods (SWMs) are current and adhered to.
- Accountable for accuracy of training records data and refresher training is up to date.
- Ensuring any faults/hazards are logged and resolved/responded to in a sufficient timeframe.
- Responsible for conducting return to work interviews.
- Responsible for review of process data and identifying opportunities and abnormalities.
- Responsible for actively develop and promote EHS and housekeeping standards.
- Mechanical engineering background essential.
- Experience of managing production plant
- Experience within a heavy industrial environment, preferably metals or chemical.
- Previous experience in a similar role
- IT - experienced with Microsoft Office applications.
- Awareness of process automation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
