    You will be joining and leading a collaborative and diverse, cross functional team who all share a passion and obsession for all things tech.

    Who are you? (The role):

    You will be leading one of our core teams as an Engineering Manager.

    The team's mission is to provide a fantastic platform to support all of our communications touchpoints with merchants – this includes marketing, transactional communications, and the software used day to day by our in-house sales team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Line manage a team of 3-8 software engineers and Salesforce specialists organised around a business problem.
    • Guide team to evolve their delivery processes to optimise for customer value.
    • Facilitate improvements in ways of working, including technical ways of working, to drive pace and quality.
    • Make responsible decisions about the cost of running your team and services.
    • Manage the performance and progression of engineers on your team.

    Job Requirements:

    • Professional experience leading a software engineering team. This might be via an engineering manager role, or a tech lead role.
    • Experience working in a company that builds its own technology products.
    • Ability to break down goals into thin slices to form a delivery plan.
    • Professional experience writing code in two or more programming languages. A willingness to learn our tech stack - mostly C# .net, Node, React. While you won't be a daily contributor, you need to be able to stay close to the technical detail, take part in code reviews, and coach junior engineers.
    • Experience building technology in an organisation that builds its own products.
    • Experience mentoring junior team members.
    • Experience leading or working in teams that are proficient in CI/CD, DevOps, TDD.
    • Experience working in teams that are highly informed by customer data.
