Job Summary:


The Weighing Operative plays a critical role in the production process by ensuring accurate measurement and handling of raw materials.

This position requires precision in weighing and recording data, adherence to safety and quality standards, and effective collaboration with Quality Control (QC), Formulations, and the Supply Chain teams.


Key Responsibilities:

Accurate Measurement of Ingredients: Ensure all ingredients are measured with high precision using scales and weighing equipment to meet recipe specifications.

Operation of Weighing Equipment: Manage the operation of scales and other weighing devices, ensuring they are used correctly and efficiently to weigh raw materials and ingredients.

Adherence to Standard Procedures: Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guarantee measurements are accurate and consistent, aligning with our quality standards.

Data Recording and Traceability: Maintain detailed records of measurements, batch numbers, and other relevant data in the production log to support accurate traceability and quality control.

Collaboration with Key Teams: Work closely with the Formulations, QC, and Purchasing teams to coordinate on material requirements, quality concerns, and supply chain issues.

Equipment Maintenance and Calibration: Complete the regular maintenance and calibration of weighing equipment to ensure ongoing accuracy and reliability.

Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe workspace by adhering to the company's cleanliness standards and safety protocols.

Communication of Batch Changes: Collaborate with the Shift Manager & the QC team to report any deviations or changes in batch formulations, ensuring all modifications are documented and communicated effectively.

Working Hours:

Night shifts - Monday to Friday, 22:00 hrs - 06:30 hrs, 40 hours per week


Physical Requirements:


Lifting and Material Handling:

Capable of lifting and moving heavy materials as required in the production process in line with Manual Handling Regulations.

Ability to stand for prolonged periods.


Flexibility and Reach:
Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach to access materials and operate equipment safely and effectively.


Work Environment:

This role requires working in a fast-paced production environment.

The position involves standing for extended periods and handling various types of materials.


Pay:
From £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
