Administrator - Band - An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrator to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team based in Maidstone or Canterbur

TheKent & Medway Neurodevelopmental Teammanages all referrals for young people across Kent and Medway experiencing Neurodevelopmental and Learning Disabilities.

The clinical team is supported by a team of administrators who work in close collaboration to manage and process all incoming referrals for young people experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties and or requests for Neurodevelopmental assessment


You will:


Work as a member of the administration team to:

  • ensuring all new referrals to the service are managed and created in a timely manor
- ensure all systems and processes are effective and followed appropriately
- ensure all phone calls are dealt with in a timely and professional manor
- demonstrate high standards in all administrative activates relating to a young persons journey through the service
- work in collaboration with administrative colleagues across CYPMHS and our partner

You will provide the best service possible, following best practice and national developments.

You will listen and continually improve our services for the benefit of our patients, service users and carers.


You will work to create relationships based on honesty, respect and trust, and meet the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

COVID-19 Vaccination

Probationary Period

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust.

All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.

As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.

The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

You will monitor the service mail inbox and process incoming referrals in line with the service operational procedures

You will support the timely management and processing of all documents received relating to referrals

You will be rostered to answer calls from the public, professionals, and service users, always aiming to be helpful and record the required details

You will create referrals in the patient information system (RIO) and add timely accurate progress notes as required

Create and send letters and managing incoming post which includes scanning.

Support the accurate and time collection of data as required or directed

You will contribute to service development by identifying areas for improvement and will communicate promptly with your team any issues that may impact on service delivery

All will work collaboratively with your colleagues and offer support where required
