Description

As a Practice Educator you will be responsible for leading on the placement planning and expansion of pre-registration learners across Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Working closely with the Associate Director of Workforce and Education, Clinical Education Lead, and the Pre-Registration Team, internal and external stakeholders.

You will demonstrating proactive problem solving capabilities and a high level of concentration.

To lead and support the placement planning and expansion of pre-registration learners within the organisation. Inclusive of nursing, midwifery, nurse associates and paramedics.


Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, Clinical Education Lead, Pre-Registration Team and the Associate Director of Workforce and Education to meet local, regional and national objectives.

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of Trust strategies and initiatives by delivering and evaluating appropriate training packages and competency assessments.
  • To work as a member of the Trust education team delivering classroom training on each of the programmes associated with pre and post professional learning.
  • To contribute to the quality control aspects of all pre and post professional training provisions within the Trust.
  • Maintain awareness of the other work streams and projects and cross cover colleagues as required.
  • Being flexible, to work with learners out of hours or when required, work as part of the team in a clinical area, i.e. when the hospital is in escalation.
