Conducting business from three sites in the United Kingdom, AEM offers specialist services for in excess of 5,000 components over a variety of aircraft systems with capabilities covering aircraft windings, electrical power, hydraulic components, landing gear and safety equipment.

In 2007 AEM Limited was acquired by AMETEK Inc, a global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices as a unit within AMETEK MRO's Aerospace and Defense Division, a recognized global provider of third-party MRO services to commercial, regional and general aviation customers as well as military, helicopter and business jet markets.

JOB PURPOSE:
To disassemble, test, fault find and repair various safety equipment for slides, rafts and their sub components.

To reassemble a variety of safety equipment, slides, rafts and their sub components in accordance with CMM's / OHM's and OEM packing instructions.

RESPONSIBILITES:

To disassemble, test, fault find and repair various safety equipment for slides, rafts and their sub components.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Numerate and literate minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
OEM training in maintenance and overhaul of safety equipment (highly desirable)

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience of working in an engineering/workshop environment (highly desirable)
Prior experience working of interpreting and following in detail compliance manuals.
Experience of repairing and packing aircraft safety equipment (highly desirable).

Ability to work well in multidiscipline/crossfunctional teams
Working within a small team of skilled fitters, reliability, flexibility and team work are key skill requirements.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build closeknit relationships
Strong organisation skills and excellent attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and multi task whilst maintaining a high degree of quality, workmanship and compliance with health and safety regulations.
