Investment Administrators are one of the first points of contact for dealing with queries from our clients as well as providing timely and valuable admin support to our Investment Managers and Executives.

The most common queries and tasks you would be dealing with are:

    • Supporting the onboarding of new clients.
    • Producing documentation for Investment Managers to provide to their clients – such as Review Packs and Investment Proposals.
    • Providing clients and/or their agents with information and reports about their portfolios.
    • Administering requests from solicitors for Confirmation valuations and documentation required for subsequent share sales.
    • Processing the movement of funds between accounts.

This is a client-facing role, with client queries coming in via phone, post, and email so you will need to be a confident communicator, who can handle these queries clearly and sensitively.

We work in a regulated industry, so you will need a high attention to detail to ensure that our records are kept up to date and avoid any possible regulatory breaches.

Whilst previous industry experience is desirable, it would be beneficial to hold at least a good awareness and knowledge of our industry and the regulatory environment we work in.

This role provides essential support to the office, including daily tasks such as handling post and incoming client queries. As a result, we would need the successful candidate to work from the office full time whilst they were training, before hybrid working could be considered.

Further specific details about the role can be found in the job description attached to this advert.

    What we're looking for

    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Confident ability to learn new systems and processes.
    • High level of attention to detail.
    • Consistent and accurate administrative skills.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • Awareness of financial services and FCA regulations.

What does the future look like?

Once you are settled into the role, you will be able to take on more responsibility within the team, including taking on more complex queries and learning more about how the rest of the team functions.

Redmayne Bentley provides support for colleagues to achieve industry standard CISI qualifications, if that is something they wish to do.

Typically, our administrators would start on the Level 3 Investment Operations Certificate, which provides them with a deep understanding of our industry, FCA regulations and how our firm operates. This can then act as a pathway to further qualifications, such as the Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma.
