At Hinkley Point C (HPC), we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK, providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.


The Opportunity


As a Senior Facilities Services Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of Facilities Services to ensure the HPC Project is delivered safely, on time, and to quality and cost.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the provision of critical site facilities services, to a construction workforce of circa 12,000 individuals.
  • Deputising for the Facilities Service & Area Manager in the responsibility for budgetary control for contracts with values of up to £250m.
  • Managing a range of multilevel stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
  • Providing day to day operational support on all cross functional aspects of facilities services activities.
  • Ensuring training and mentoring of all direct reports and managing the discipline, safety, effectiveness, and competency of the Tier 1 contractor team.
  • Anticipating and resolving any issues arising with the facilities management contract for package of works and services, identifying risks and facilitating their resolution.
  • Supporting the preparation of monthly reports for each work stream including safety performance, performance against SLAs, performance against KPIs, financial reporting, project forecasting and forward planning.
  • Overseeing elements of temporary works designs, installation, operation, maintenance and removal of building and property assets.
  • Maximising our facilities Tier 1 contractor team's productivity, to make the most of resources and being able to show value to Nuclear New Build.
  • Monitoring acceptance of compliance for works and services by contractors.
  • Expediting timely completion of design and construction deliverables.

Who you are

Your background may include some of the following:

  • Educated to degree level or recent relevant senior management experience working at a similar level in a related industrial setting.
  • Technical experience and an understanding of relevant British standards and regulations.
  • Experience in delivering facilities management services and projects within a large project environment.
  • Full knowledge of CDM regulations.
  • Experience of working with and developing similar sized packages of work relating to expected budget of up to £250m.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience of positive stakeholder engagement.
  • IOSH Construction Safety Qualification is advantageous.
  • NEC3 Contract training is desirable.
  • Experience of working in a high security environment is desirable.
