Radiographer/Clinical Technologist Nuclear Medicine, Band 5Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Due to promotion an opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 5 Radiographer/Clinical Technologist to join the existing Nuclear Medicine team of 20 staff.
This is an interesting and varied role providing support to the day-to-day operations of the Nuclear Medicine imaging & therapy departments and to the Radiopharmacy.
The therapy department is based in the Oncology Centre, Cheltenham Trust site where we have dedicated Treatment Rooms.There is an in-house Radiopharmacy used for the daily manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals, which is operated jointly with the Pharmacy department.
This post is primarily to support both Imaging and Therapy, flexibility and travel between the sites will be required.Additional working pattern details:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the team and support the existing staff with the diagnostic imaging service, the therapy service and the Radiopharmacy.
Applications are welcomed from candidates with a Nuclear Medicine or Medical Physics background who possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
Nuclear Medicine is one of four departments within the Medical Physics department and there are strong links and support provided by the other Heads of Department and their respective staff.
The Medical Physics Department is a strong advocate for staff training and development and is an accredited training center for the NSHCS STP & HSST training schemes as well as the IPEM Clinical Technologist training scheme.
