Bede's is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Early Career Teacher of Chinese who will be ready to embark on either the first or second year of the two year ECT programme in September 2024.

You will have the talent to help every pupil to achieve their best possible results at GCSE or A Level and you will be determined to inspire young people, and to help inculcate a love of Chinese amongst your pupils. You will be teaching Mandarin at GCSE and A Level. The applicant needs a fluent level of Mandarin and must be able to teach Mandarin to students at GCSE and A-Level, both to native level and non native level speakers.We use the AQA GCSE examination board for Mandarin and Pearson Edexcel for A Level Mandarin and Cantonese.We offer the Pearson IGCSE qualification to our native level Cantonese speakers.The ability to speak Cantonese is desirable.You will be able to enjoy working with gifted pupils who aspire to study at the very highest level as much as you enjoy working with those who find the subject particularly taxing. The faculty is under the aegis of Head of MFL, Ms Veronique Ganivet and Head of Languages, Mr Matthew Oliver.
