    Default job background
    Permanent, Full time
    Description

As one of Hampshire's leading Mental Health Charities, Andover Mind is entering an exciting phase of growth to meet the needs of our communities around mental health and wellbeing support associated with the Community NHS Transformation Programme.

The mental health and wellbeing of the communities across Hampshire is our top priority and we are looking for a Wellbeing Advisor to join a growing mental health service across the Rural West Primary Care Network. Primary Care Networks (PCNs) are groups of GP practices who work together in a local geographical area and over the last couple of years, we have been working with the NHS to improve the local mental health services within GP surgeries in our region.

The overall purpose of this role will be to directly assess patients from Basingstoke PCN who are referred into the Primary Care Mental Health service. You will also provide short-term recovery-focussed intervention to patients on ways they can manage and improve their mental health through teaching them coping skills, using resources, and referring into other services when appropriate.

Work is carried out in the community and in GP surgeries. This is a non-clinical role which promotes self-help and works as an integral part of a growing Primary Care Mental Health Service. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary team alongside other professionals such as peer support workers, psychological therapists, nurses, social prescribers and a dedicated GP Lead.

Hours will mainly be worked in the GP surgeries, with some home working and some hours may also be worked at the Basingstoke Wellbeing Centre.

    Salary: £25,311.00 p.a

    Hours: 37.5 (Full Time)

    Our benefits include:

    • 27 days holiday, plus bank holidays - rising to 30 days with length of service
    • Vivup membership which includes access to discounts and cashback with hundreds of retailers
    • Competitive sick pay scheme
    • Employee Assistance Programme
    • Competitive company referral scheme
    • Eye test vouchers
    • Cycle to Work Scheme
