    Distillery Manager Salary:

    The Role:
    Supporting the delivery of our long-term strategy by developing people, plant, safety and equipment. Strive for operational excellence.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Take part in plant setup and commissioning.
    • Development of SOPs, KPIs, PPM and management plans for site operations.
    • Ensure compliance with internal standards for health and safety, environment and quality.
    • Ensure compliance with external stakeholders and, if possible, have experience in dealing with all internal and external regulatory control bodies.
    • Ability to develop staff whilst maintaining and improving on business targets.
    • Deliver distillery and business objectives aligned to key performance indicators.
    • Implement and manage various projects within distillery operations with a clear structure, change control and communication with all involved.
    • Ensure high housekeeping standards are achieved and maintained.
    • Maintain compliance with HMRC requirements, quality, health and safety, environmental, energy management, time management.
    • Take responsibility for selfdevelopment and support the development of others within the team.

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

    • Relevant experience within distilling environment, preferably with commissioning experience. Other manufacturing processes will be welcome.
    • Must have relevant qualification within Production/Chemical Engineering, Distilling or Brewing with relevant experience within a Malt Whisky Distillery.
    • Able to analyse production data.
    • Able to make decisions based on a logical approach to fact gathering.
    • Able to communicate effectively within and outwith business boundaries, including suppliers, contractors, customers and regulatory authorities using appropriate methods.
    • Have an excellent knowledge of distillery production techniques.
    • Have a comprehensive awareness of business compliance requirements for HMRC, Quality, Health and Safety, Environmental, Energy Management, Time management and Training scheduling and management.
    • Have a high level of awareness of legislation and company requirements on issues affected by production operations.
