    Asset Assistant Finance Accountant



    Location:
    Hybrid, 3 days from UK Headquarters, Runcorn, Liverpool

    We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Asset Finance Accountant to join our Finance Department. This role involves assisting the Senior Asset Accountant with month-end routines, reconciliations, and asset administration. It also requires providing regular reporting information, working with other internal stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement within the Assets function.

  • Managing asset movements and ensuring they're accurately reflected on SAP/Plan on accounting systems.
  • Reconciling IFRS16 RoU and Fixed Assets on SAP.
  • Communicating with Business Partners/Legal on an ongoing basis.
  • Developing knowledge of Swissport systems and technical knowledge to provide ongoing support.
  • Assisting in developing and improving reporting.
  • Managing competing priorities internal and external.
  • Delivering month-end numbers to a sufficient level of accuracy within a tight month-end timeline.
  • Integrating a high volume of data from different sources with a varying degree of quality.
  • Assisting with the production of sufficiently accurate information for the audit in a format which can be easily understood.
  • Assisting in delivering periodic reporting on time to the appropriate level of accuracy.
  • Assisting with input into externally reported results.
  • Making judgements on what adjustments are necessary to ensure a true and fair presentation of the numbers.

    Required Skills and Experience:
  • Working knowledge of Financial accounting principles and Management Accounting Principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and SAP.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to different functions and all levels of the business.
  • Ability to manage competing demands to tight deadlines.
  • Inquisitive mindset and a desire to develop their knowledge.
  • Keen eye for detail and the ability to apply technical/academic knowledge to practical situations.
  • "Right first time" attitude to their work.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity/partial information.
  • Part Qualified Accountant.
  • Work experience/training based in a Management Accounts environment.
  • Experience within a medium/large, multi-site business.
