Our client based in County Durham is looking for an experienced Plant Delivery (pick up and trailer) Driver to join their rapidly growing team on a temp to perm basis.


Job description:


  • The role will see you preparing, moving and delivering plant equipment (Access Equipment, Scissor Lifts & Cherry Pickers) for customers using a Pick Up Truck (Nissan Navara/Ford Ranger) and Twin-Axle Trailer combination to industrial areas across the Northeast.
  • Cleaning and predelivery inspection of equipment.
  • Loading and unloading of equipment.
  • Safely securing equipment to trailers ready for transport.
  • Completing Proof-OfDelivery/ Collection paperwork and take photograph evidence of the delivered machines.

Essentials:


  • Minimum B+E license
  • Must have held a UK licence for a minimum of 8 years, with no more than 3 penalty points (awarded or pending)
  • No endorsements on licence from serious driving convictions (DD, DR, DG, IN, CD codes) in the previous five years
  • Confident towing a range of large flatbed and plant trailers
  • Good geographic knowledge of the Northeast and road network
  • Capable of using own initiative
  • Great communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Selfstarter can work for long periods unsupervised

Requirements:


  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Driver CPC Card
  • IPAF licence categories 3A/3B
  • CSCS/ Safety Passport
  • Cleaning and predelivery inspection of equipment
  • Loading and unloading of equipment
  • Safely securing equipment to trailers ready for transport
  • Completing Proof-OfDelivery/ Collection paperwork and take photograph evidence of the delivered machines
  • Experience in car recovery or delivery would be beneficial
