I am recruiting on behalf of a dynamic SME business in Cardiff.My client is seeking a hands-on and experienced Financial Controller to oversee the day to day of the finance team.
My client is able to pay a salary of £45,000 - £55,000 doe for the successful applicant.Reporting into the Finance Director the main duties of the role will include the below Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Provision of accurate and relevant information to the directors to aid longterm and shortterm decision making
- Monthly Sales reporting with KPI analysis
- Dealing with HMRC, VAT returns, Intrastat etc
- Payroll
- Stock valuation
- Implementation of robust financial controls, compliance
- Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register and the Machine Passport
- Treasury duties (supplier payments, currency transactions)
- Overseeing the accounts payable/receivable
- Manage the Finance team and the office
- HR duties
- Part of the Health and Safety Committee
- Ad hoc duties
My client has the below requirements Qualified or part-qualified accountant
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to continuously improve working practice
- Ability to work well under pressure and experience of working with tight deadlines
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Advanced Excel skills (macros, pivot tables, queries)
