    Work closely with various departments within the school and to support the dedicated reception, building management and boarding teams. Support general school use, specific school events as well as third party hiring of facilities for events and community use.

    • Provide a front of house presence when on rota and liaise closely with the reception, registry and school management teams. Be a visible point of contact for visitors.
    • Be familiar with fire prevention, evacuation procedures and support the regular compliance work and testing of systems
    • Support the building manager in the regular checks to emergency lighting and other compliance tasks
    • Work with the building manager to monitor third party contractors (cleaners/builders/decorators/catering) to ensure our best interests are well managed
    • Assist on room set-up and other client requirements for booked events. Ensure the rooms are clean and ready in the configuration requested
    • Undertake routine checks of facilities in the building to make sure they are clean and presentable. Report any maintenance issues to management or resolve independently
    • Whilst covering events ensure you make the most of time being proactive on the routine roles and that rooms are ready for their next use.
    • Ensure the building meets high standards of cleanliness at all times and that activities undertaken are a positive contributor to the school brand.
    • Have a keen eye for cost savings and minimise wastage and environmental impact of the building and activities within.
    • Student welfare: Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the students whom you come into contact with - complete training modules provided
    • You may also be required to undertake such other comparable duties as the college requires from time to time.
