We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join our Nuclear and Infrastructure Division based at our site in Bolton.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that all welds and fabrications go out as per client requirement and standards.

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

Magnetic and particle testing.
Ultrasonic testing.
Carry out detailed visual weld inspections.
CSWIP % visual inspection of all welds.
Calibrate test equipment.
Assess weld quality, what rework may be required. Is this within tolerance. If rework is minor, they can make call.
For quality issues outside of tolerances escalate this to Quality & Responsible Welding Coordinator.
Inspect every weld to ensure it is produced to standard in working procedures. Before during and after welding.
Assess competency of welders every two years and 6 monthly reviews.

It is essential that you hold a PCN Level 2 Magnetic Particle Inspection and also PCN Level 2 Ultrasonic Inspection in Plate, NDT Instruction Writing, Butt Welds in Plate, Butt Welds in Pipe, T Joint Welds, Nozzle Welds

CSWIP 3.1 Visual Inspection is desirable.
