Description

Accommodation and Welfare Officer, based Banbury, permanent career opportunity for an experienced Housing Officer who has managed high volume caseloads, across multiple locations and will include property inspection and management of properties used by serviceusers.

This role offers an annual salary of £26,500 plus some great employee benefits and future career and personal development.


You will be responsible for managing up to 200 service users, attending dispersal and conducting induction of service users into property, assisting service users with registering at local GP Services, NHS Dentists, orientation into the local community (shops,support groups, education and services).

Reporting any issues with the properties, the tenants plus the reporting of any health and safety risk, building repairs and accommodation maintenance requirements.


As an Accommodation and Welfare Officer, you will be responsible for the safeguarding of service users, completing weekly welfare checks with all service users, prepare property occupation for new service users and ensure appropriate maintenance of propertiesworking with the property team to plan and agree all requirements.

Preparing recently terminated properties to a consistent high standard of delivery for new service users, liaising with the wider team, attending meetings, writing complex reports and communicatingwith a range of professional bodies and supporting authorities.


Your previous career will demonstrate a robust understanding of the Housing and Tenancy Sector perhaps working in Social Housing with relevant knowledge gained in tenancy management, the welfare of families and occupants, and experience of property management,maintenance and property dispersal.

Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook and Excel) is required due to the need to write, compile and complete reports and written correspondence.
