    Salary: GBP31,350- 47,839

    Supply Desk are seeking a skilled and passionate Resistant Materials Teacher to join a dynamic school located in the Berkhamstead area. As a Resistant Materials Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching in the field of materials technology, focusing on designing and working with resistant materials such as wood, metal, and plastics.

    The ideal teacher will enable students to develop practical skills, problem-solving abilities, and an understanding of the principles behind various materials and their applications.

    The role:

    • Plan and deliver fun and engaging lessons that match the curriculum and cater to the unique learning styles of students.
    • Show students how to safely use tools and equipment for working with resistant materials.
    • Introduce students to all sorts of materials and their properties, opening up their minds to new ideas and ways of thinking.
    • Guide students through the design process, encouraging them to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions.
    • Keep an eye on practical activities to ensure everyone stays safe and has a great learning experience.

    The Ideal Candidate:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Design Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a teaching qualification that's equivalent.
    • However. it would be great if you've taught Resistant Materials or something similar to secondary-level students before.
    • You need to have a solid understanding of resistant materials and how they're used in different industries.
    • You should know your way around tools and equipment for woodwork, metalwork, plastics, and other resistant materials.
