Our Client is a Leading Provider of IT-Managed Services, onsite support, and field engineering to the Education sector with a growing portfolio of public and private schools, multi-academy trusts, colleges, and universities.

Following continued growth, contractwins, and a number of new build school projects in the pipeline they are looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer.

As Senior Network Engineer you will be a part of the Project Services Department.

This division is expected to deliver efficient designs and solutions for servers, storage, networks, wireless, and security projects that the organisation will require.

A coupleof the role's responsibilities are project management, audit and scoping, producing design documentation, remote and on-site installation and customisation, and providing 3rd line support services.


As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be ensuring that the school's network infrastructure is reliable, secure, and capable of supporting the educational needs of students and staff.

You will act as the provider of technical pre-sales for networking, supportproject processes through technical design documentation, and 3rd-line technical support to clients.


Responsibilities

  • Provide 3rdline support services directly to clients and as the escalation point from the helpdesk.
  • Deliver effective technical presales services for wireless and networking opportunities
  • Fulfill audit services and technical advice responsibilities
  • Support project and sales processes by producing technical design documentation
  • Carry out project delivery (i.e., onsite installation and configuration)
  • Assist with the assessment and development of new products and services

Experience and Skills

  • Experienced with producing and implementing complex configurations
  • Competent LAN/WLAN infrastructure deployment and support
  • Capable of creating high and lowlevel design documentation
  • Knowledgeable in implementing customer site surveys or audits and producing relevant outputs
  • Adept in troubleshooting and configuration of security software (e.g., Firewalls and Web filters)
  • Experienced in network authentication such as Radius
  • ACSP, ACMP, ACCP, ACDP, or equivalent
  • Experience with Aruba Network Management (i.e., Aruba AirWave, Aruba Central)
  • Experience with Aruba Wireless Technologies both controllerbased and controllerless.
  • Knowledge of Aruba ClearPass and Microsoft NPS
  • Worked within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) and in a presales capacity environment
  • Working knowledge of HyperVisor Technologies (e.g., Hyper-V and VMWare)
  • Worked with Smoothwall appliances

Location:
Fareham, Hampshire + Travel to customers through the region


Salary:
£40,000 - £45,000 PA


Status:
Full-Time, Permanent
