Wall Colmonoy are currently recruiting a Charge Make Up Operative.

A Charge Make Up Operative's role is to assemble raw material charges to meet production schedules to both the Castings Foundry and Atomising Foundry, while adhering to designated Health, Safety and Environmental practices.


In addition to the tasks detailed in this job description, a Charge Makeup Operative may be asked to perform additional tasks which are not noted in this document which the shift supervisor will deem fit.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Adhere to designated health and safety practices for your work area and department including all safe systems of work. Adhere to WCL safety policy.
  • Follow the work instructions and standard operating procedures to ensure that the process/processes are carried our correctly within the department.
  • Ensure all environmental aspects and waste segregation are followed on a daily basis.
  • Ensure good standards of housekeeping and storage are maintained within the work area during your shift.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is paramount in the role to ensure that uptime and quality are maximised in the production area.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of WCL's raw materials and revert would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Highlight to the supervision team any maintenance requirements or process limitations within your work area.
  • Support departmental continuous improvement tasks & projects while highlighting improvement opportunities.
  • Booking In and Booking Out raw materials & revert used for charge assembly with WCL operating systems.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Good Health & Safety principles
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong team work skills.
  • IT and communication skills (Training can be provided)
  • Ability to problem solve and propose improvement ideas
The role requires an individual who is prepared to take ownership and be accountable for the manufacturing process. A flexible can do attitude is essential in this demanding environment.

Rate of pay:
£10.50 per hour, 39 hours per week. 3 shift pattern, shift premium will apply.
