Description

To supervise the smooth running of daily activities within the Aseptic unit, provide assistance to other pharmacy staff and support activity as both a preparative operator and 'in-process' checker.

To undertake planned work under the supervision of the Senior Technician, Lead Technician Technical Services. Work will be supported by the provision of clear standard operating procedures.

This role is being advertised indicatively.


Clinical Responsibilities:


  • To carry out departmental cleaning of the aseptic suites following the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual procedures, and keeping records of such activities up to date.
- "Setting up" of rooms and aseptic manufacturing cabinets prior to manufacture.

  • Final packaging of all types of aseptically prepared products, ensuring safe practice is adhered to, as specified in departmental procedures. Ensure that on the completion of final packaging the product is stored appropriately until the responsible Pharmacist final releases the product/batch.
  • Work within departmental SOPs to ensure departmental priorities set by the Lead Technician are met. The Lead Technician must be informed where these priorities are not going to be met.
  • To support the daytoday running of the department, assisting with the provision of the appropriate materials and support to ensure that products are manufactured in a timely manner.
  • The setup of sterile production batch ingredients and consumables.
  • To be responsible for carrying out accurate stock level checks inline with departmental policies and procedures.
  • To supervise the setting up of Aseptic batches, by providing prepreparation identity checks.
