You will join a duty editor rota that will involve infrequent and scheduled weekend working.

As Assistant Editor, you will work in partnership with the departments' other Assistant Editors in overseeing the day-to-day editorial of Radio Wales News output.

You will manage a large team of Presenters, Senior Journalists, Journalist, Journalism Co-ordinators and Researchers.

You will develop, encourage and maintain high professional standards of journalism, ensuring we deliver high quality programmes, which consistently set the editorial agenda and make an impact across the newsroom.

With this in mind, you will need to be able to demonstrate a commitment to improving diversity at the BBC.

You'll be expected to work hard to create a culture which embraces diversity and inclusion, and which encourages others to be their authentic self in a work context and feel able to contribute their best in all ways.
