THE OPPORTUNITY

Sii UK are hiring for a System Test Engineer role, based in Templecombe. Project requires working from the office for 3 days per week.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

To excel in this role, you should possess experience in the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong system testing background
• Experience of working within MoD.

TASKS:

The primary activities encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

• Generate and modify test scenario simulator data.

• Perform systems tests as per the test descriptions both independently and in front of customer representatives.

• Execute system test tasks as per the IVV plan and schedule.

• Formally record and report test results in required reports and databases.

• Conduct and report the results from scripted and unscripted debug testing.

• Liaise with systems/software team to discuss and resolve bugs and issues.

• Set up, perform, analyse and report on soak tests.

• Raise issues using software reporting tool JIRA.

• Attend reviews and meetings as requested.

• Build & manage the System Equipment including the installation of Operating Systems and internal software as per instructions.

• Maintain Software/System Integration Laboratory (SIL) environment in good order.

• Perform installations and testing at customer locations.

• Report directly to the IVV Lead and to the Programme Management Team.
