Marketing Data Scientist - London, United Kingdom - Cameron Kennedy
Description
The Data Scientist will be part of the new growth vertical and is dedicated to organic initiatives, working with cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, Front Office, IS and Marketing to develop innovative, data-driven solutions that optimize investment strategies, improve client engagement and mitigate risks in line with best practice.
They will be responsible for pioneering the establishment of data science capabilities with the Wealth Management group.Utilise advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyse large-scale datasets and extract actionable insights
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data privacy standards, particularly in the handling of sensitive client information.
Develop predictive models and algorithms to optimize investment portfolios, assess risk exposure, and forecast market trendsImplement robust data governance frameworks and data quality controls to maintain the integrity and reliability of our data assets.
Collaborate with Developers and Data Engineers to design and implement scalable data pipelines for efficient data processing and analysisConduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in financial data, and provide recommendations for actionable insights
Cross-sell between Financial Planning and Investment Management
Work closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data privacy standards, particularly in the handling of sensitive client information
Implement robust data governance frameworks and data quality controls to maintain the integrity and reliability of our data assets
Contribute to efficiency improvement initiatives, staying abreast of emerging technologies and best practice in data science, contributing to the continuous improvement of our data analytics capabilities
Undertake technical or any other relevant training as and when required
Undertake and record relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to develop knowledge and skills.
Master's Degree in computer science, IT, statistics, analytics, mathematics or other related field
Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modelling, and machine learning techniques, preferably in a financial services or wealth management environment
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R or Java, and familiarity with data analysis libraries (e.g. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., Strong understanding of database technologies and SQL proficiency for data manipulation and querying
