Description

We're looking for an Environment Advisor to join our Environment team based in Somerset.

Bridgewater, Somerset

Contract:
Permanent

What will you be responsible for?

As an Environment Advisor, you'll be working within the Regional Civils team, supporting them in ensuring that construction activities comply with environmental regulations and targets set in the Environment Action Plan whilst adhering to Kier procedures.

Your day to day will include:

Liaising with site teams, clients, stakeholders and the wider environmental team and effective communication of ecological requirements to project team to ensure programme delays are avoided.
Assist in managing legislative and planning compliance for Kier and the client and to conduct site inspections to monitor and record compliance with site, Kier and client procedures, including protected species, invasive species, pollution.
Carrying out environment tool box talks and site inductions, ensuring we are kept up to date with the most recent changes in environment law.
Interpret data and writing detailed reports, assisting site teams with sustainability, carbon and waste reporting.
Implementing ecological enhancements and records of enhancements to be communicated.

You have the relevant Environmental qualification, degree or equivalent.
Have proven interest and knowledge of sustainability and the environment.
