We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and focused person to join the People Directorate (HR) providing a high-level executive assistance to the Chief People Officer.


Are you passionate about the NHS? Have strong administrative and organisational skills with experience of providing senior administrative support to Executives or Directors? If yes, we would love to hear from you.


Using your significant experience working as an Executive Assistant or senior level Personal Assistant, you will provide a full range of high-level operational and organisational support to the Chief People Officer enabling efficient operation of their portfolio.

An excellent team player, flexible, focused, resilient and able to build effective, professional relationships and manage conflicting priorities successfully.


As a crucial member of the People Directorate, you will plan and organise activities some of which may be complex, impact other areas and require ongoing management and adjustment to ensure the Chief People Officer is able to fulfil their responsibilities to the Board, Committees, People Directorate, other senior management meetings and other aspects of their portfolio, both internal and external to the Trust.


On behalf of the Chief People Officer, you will be the first point of contact dealing with straightforward and complex internal and external enquiries and matters as appropriate and identify relevant solutions; maintaining good governance, probity and working in accordance with Trust policies and procedures and statutory and legislative requirements.


Being organised, having the ability to multitask, adopt a flexible and adaptable approach to suit the variable and developing workload of the Chief People Officer, having discretion and integrity, the ability to work autonomously under pressure and an excellent communicator who is confident and comfortable in dealing with people at all levels is essential.
