    Description

    We are looking for Quality Assurance Engineers with Formula One or Motorsport experience.

    Quality Dept Personnel, Design Engineers, Procurement, Suppliers. Production Managers

    JOB PURPOSE/ OBJECTIVES
    * Develop and sustain Quality Management Systems to ensure Quality Assurance of internal and external sourced parts and enhance consistency of all operations related to car systems (production, assembly, test and running).

    Improve yield at all stages of product lifecycle by support to design, production, assembly, inspection, sign-off testing (Composite parts and materials, adhesives, processes) & (Metal parts and materials, heat-treatments, surface treatments, joining processes)

    Support Supplier Approval and Audit processes led by Purchasing.

    Support Inspection team to define and implement standards and procedures for Goods-Inwards inspection, Supplier Inspection, Internal stage inspection.

    The role will be based at Enstone and will involve travel to suppliers and test facilities.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
    * Quality Assurance - work with inspection, internal production and external suppliers to use best practice quality principles during manufacture, resolve non-conformances, improve right first time delivered quality and capture learning that can be applied to future designs.

    Quality Assurance - create and deploy procedures, work instructions and check-sheets for internal and external production, assembly and inspection to ensure delivery in accordance with the design intent.

    Quality Assurance KPIs - develop metrics to measure and improve internal and external QA performance (eg reduction in repeat NCRs).

    Design for Manufacture - support design team to ensure feasibility of design intent.

    Failure Mode Effect Analysis - support design team assessment of suitability of design before release for production.

    Fault and failure analysis - support actions to investigate and contain faults and prevent recurrence.

    SKILLS (Core, Management and Technical)

    In-depth knowledge of composites and metallic manufacture and processes is essential; a degree level qualification in Production or Mechanical Engineering or similar could be advantageous, its absence is not prohibitive.

    Thorough knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Quality Assurance processes suited to lean/agile production of low-volume, short lead-time precision parts.

    Thorough knowledge of inspection, metrology and NDT techniques and terminology.

    Highly skilled in problem solving techniques and auditing.

    Robust knowledge in FMEA & process mapping.

    PC literate with good working knowledge of the MS office products
