    I am working with a Public Sector Organisation based in Sheffield, who are looking for Payroll - Process Assistant.
    The role is full time, to start ASAP and will run for 4 months initially.

    The role is from the office 2-3 times a week during training then from home with 2 days in the month from the office and offers £12.27 PAYE per Hour plus holiday pay.

    Responsible for the delivery of accurate payments to staff and police officers, both weekly and monthly for a defined part of the total payroll, ensuring legislation, Terms & Conditions of Service and other Statutory and Local agreements are processed correctly.

    Responsible for the completion of a timely and accurate payroll within defined timescales, ensuring confidentiality of staff records at all times.

    5 GCSE's level A-C in English and Math's or Equivalent
    Sound understanding of PAYE, National Insurance
    A high level knowledge of data-input completion
    Experience of accurate data entry and validation of financial informationDesirable Skills
    Experience in payroll or finance
    NVQ 3 Qualification or equivalent level of experience in Payroll.
    Has an awareness of the law relating to payroll (i.e. employment rights and data protection)
    Experience of processing transactions on multi customer payrolls
    The ability to Calculate Statutory and Non statutory deductions accurately and in accordance with the legal and organizational requirements
