JOB PURPOSE:


  • To complete all the appropriate Customer specifications on their appropriate IT systems to the required standard and within the required timescales.

MAIN DUTIES:


  • Ensure that the function of the factory and employees are operating in line with Health and Safety requirements.
  • To complete all customer specifications for all products on the appropriate format or IT system to the required standard and within the appropriate timescales.
  • To manage the artwork approval process.
  • To liaise with the Process Technologist to obtain the appropriate factory information to ensure that the correct information is present on the customer specification.
  • To liaise with the Planning and Purchasing department to ensure that all raw materials suppliers are correct on specifications and to ensure that Group Technical Services are informed of any new suppliers that are used.
  • To liaise with the appropriate NPD teams to ensure that product specifications are completed for all new products or redesigns.
  • To assist the Process Technologist in generating factory Specifications and QAS's where requested.
  • To manage the Product files and ensure that all information is present within them at all times.
  • To be the nominated site Technical representative at Retailer Routine Taste / Quality Panels for at least 1 retailer.
  • To provide a flexible resource to the Technical Compliance, Technical Services Manager and Technical Manager for any other reasonable duties.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Liaise with Managers / Supervisors regarding any issues and report on a daily basis.
  • Any other reasonable duties, as required by the business and directed by the Technical Manager or Technical Services Manager.


In addition, you will undertake any training that the company deems necessary that may assist you to effect the above responsibilities.

To understand the importance of ensuring all statutory (industry guidelines), legal food safety and customer requirements are met and to be responsible for assuring the safety, quality, legality and integrity of the products manufactured on site.


Food Safety Culture:

To comprehend the procedures, practices and behaviours that act as preventive control measures and clearly understand the importance of good health & safety in upholding a positive food safety and quality culture.


Training:

To undertake all relevant operational, technical, health & safety, environment and development training required by company policy and legal requirements.


Ethical:

To respect and honour the sentiment of the Cranswick ethical policies and codes of conduct, when interacting with your colleagues at all times.


Environment:

You have a responsibility to ensure that you fully comply with the company policy on the environment in all aspects of your work including complying with the site's ISO 14001 environmental management system and reporting environmental incidents.


KEY ATTRIBUTES:

Computer Literate

Knowledge and experience of using Retailer On-line Specification System

High Attention to Detail

Ability to work on their own and to be able to communicate to all levels of management

Hours of work

  • Monday
  • Friday 8am
  • 5pm (however flexibility around core working hours is essential)

Job Types:

Salary:
£30,000.00 per year
