Our client is a FTSE-250 business and globally recognised brand, which has successfully disrupted their industry through digital innovation and thought leadership.
Their digital eCommerce platforms generate up to £1million in orders per hour at peak, withover 10m subscribers to their mobile app and multiple awards to their name.
Following a recent re-structure and several internal promotions a unique opportunity has arisen for Azure Cloud Engineer to join their award-winning team.
Required knowledge of the following technologies;
- Microsoft Azure.
- Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Hashicorp Terraform.
- Microsoft PowerShell.
Desirable knowledge of the following technologies:
- Amazon AWS / Google GCP / Other cloud providers.
- Microsoft Office 36
- Splunk/Akamai
- Previous experience within a Cloud/DevOps team.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server, Azure Cloud & DevOps technologies.
- Solid experience in building resilient, scalable, and secure systems.
- Strong experience with automation technologies including Terraform, ARM Templates, and PowerShell.
- Solid ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, often under pressure with tight deadlines.
- The ability to form strong, mutual, and professional business relationships with internal business users, external partners, and suppliers.
- Experience in managing and prioritising workloads.
- Proven ability to understand support and business needs and translate these to a working solution.
- Preferably a relevant industryrecognised certification or demonstrable industry experience.
Responsibilities:
- Convert the InfraOps and NetOps architecture to Infrastructure as Code.
- Provide end users with selfserve functionality for adopting cloud services.
- Ensure Infrastructure complies with configuration and security standards through automation.
- Continuously explore new technologies that make automation, scaling and monitoring a reality.
- Contribute to a Cloud Practice which facilitates CloudasaService to other parts of the business.
- Continually develop and maintain an expert understanding of internal systems and services and their interaction with the business.
- Mentor colleagues within the Infrastructure Team.
- Responsible for the availability and performance of the IT Cloud Infrastructure.
- Responsible for the delivery of IT Infrastructure Projects.
- Work with third parties to ensure the IT Cloud Infrastructure remains secure, patched, and backed up in accordance with our policies and SLAs.
- Responsible for the delivery of the IT Infrastructure Road Map.
- Manage the building, monitoring, and support of Cloud Infrastructure.
- Ensure our environments are secure and where required adhere to PCI-DSS standards.
