Business Information Manager - Global Risk Management Leader - Competitive Salary + Package - Perm - Hybrid working with base of London (City).


Gerrard White are working with a global risk management and insurance broking organisation with a huge presence in the UK, who are currently looking for a Business Information Manager to join their growing Central Data Function, looking to adopt a cloudfirst approach.


This is an exciting time to join a market leading, highly acquisitional organisation in a role will provide good quality, varied work within a complex environment.

You will be working closely with stakeholders at all levels, engaging with like-minded individualsacross the organisation.


Main Responsibilities:


As a Business Information Manager, you will be responsible for leading two Information Analysts in gathering, visualising, and distributing data to the wider business.

You will collaborate with Data Management and Data Services to align end-to-end solutionsdesign, development, and deployment.

Part of this role will also be working closely with Data Analysts in order to determine requirements for delivering data solutions.

You will support the delivery of BI requirements, ensuring that the information providedimproves business decision making capabilities.


The successful Business Information Manager will also be responsible for -

  • Assessing change to safeguard the integrity of the GGB-UK Data Network
  • Provide help in developing visualisation solutions using standards and standard methodology.
  • Design and develop models to support information services

The successful Business Information Manager

  • Strong knowledge of current industry practices and toolsets
  • Experience working with Azure data components such as Databricks/Synapse
  • Experience with tools such as Python would be advantageous
  • Excellent communicator with strong relationship management and interpersonal skills. Happy to resolve problems in a professional manner, lead working groups, negotiate and create consensus
  • Ability to manage, translate and handle complex technical terminology, concepts and issues to nontechnical stakeholders
  • Detail orientated with sophisticated analytical and problemsolving skill
  • Solid experience of visualisation tools especially PowerBI and nonMicrosoft tools such as Qlikview, Qliksense and Tableau.
  • Excellent data analysis skills, working knowledge of design and integration principles for sophisticated, heterogeneous databases and data modelling.
  • SQL2008/2012/2014/ an advantage), SSIS, TSQL
  • Knowledge of industry data standards, architectures and standard methodologies
  • Experience in a data warehouse environment within a large organisation, preferably within the Insurance/Financial markets
