    Description
    We are looking to increase our bank of Invigilators in Ham Green, Bristol. This role is ideally suited to candidates with good written, spoken and computer skills.

    We are looking for reliable, flexible and conscientious individuals to help administer public examinations and computer-based assessments. Previous examination experience is desired but not essential.

    You will receive invigilator training however, an understanding of the importance and formality of the examination procedure and/or experience in managing groups of young people is important.


    Hourly Rate:
    £13.45

    Days of Work:
    Monday to Friday

    Hours of Work:
    these will either be a split shift or straight shift


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • To ensure that all exam documents are secure at all times and no examination material is left unattended at any time
    • Exams papers are accurately counted out and counted in
    • Any breach of security is reported to the Exams Officer immediately
    • All regulations set out by the awarding bodies are adhered to at all times
    • To ensure that the candidates adhere to the lines of discipline expected of them during an examination which have been set out by the awarding bodies
    • To ensure that silence is kept by all parties in the examination room at all times during the examination
    • That all candidates that need to leave the room for any reason, for example to use the toilet facilities are appropriately chaperoned
    • To ensure that any student arriving late to an examination is dealt with according to the Exam Officers instructions at the start of the exam
    • To ensure that any breach of the disciplinary code is dealt with in accordance to examination regulations
    • To ensure that all examinations adhere to set timings
    • That all regulations set out by the awarding bodies are adhered to
    What you need to apply for the role

    • Precious Experience preferred but not essential
    • Be punctual, organised, calm, flexible, efficient and able to deal with students in a professional and formal manner.
    • Be able to work as part of a team and to follow set procedures.
    • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
    • Previous Invigilator/reader/scribe experience is desirable.
